Court rules that about 3,000 people denied credit disability insurance are now entitled to disability payments.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 11 , 2007– Robert Peirce & Associates announced today that it has won a class action lawsuit against CUNA Mutual Group in a western Pennsylvania federal court.
About 3,000 people had been denied credit disability insurance by CUNA Mutual, but
Robert Peirce & Associates attorneys demonstrated that the CUNA policies contained
an ambiguous definition of disability. As a result, all of the people denied coverage are now entitled to receive credit disability payments for as long as they remain disabled.
Credit Disability Insurance provides for the continued payment of the policyholder’s loan in case of disability from an accident or sickness.
If you or someone you know was recently denied credit disability benefits as a result of an interpretation which you disagree with, please feel free to contact Robert Peirce & Associates for a free consultation regarding your rights.
