Rezulin
In January 1997, the FDA approved Rezulin for treatment of diabetes. In the 39 months that transpired between its approval and its recall in March 2000, 63 individuals died from liver failure caused by Rezulin. Seven survived liver transplants, and 10 people continue to battle liver disease.

Between 1997 and 2000, the FDA reviewed reports confirming hundreds of Rezulin liver failures. Even after a Rezulin-related death, Warner-Lambert, the manufacturer of Rezulin, denies the dangers associated with this medication.

Rezulin does cause liver failure, and is believed to increase a user's risk of developing liver failure by 1,200 times the average person's risk for this same organ failure. Because the onset of liver failure happens rapidly and initial symptoms are mild or nonexistent, this drug is particularly dangerous.

If you took Rezulin and have had any liver problems, please obtain a Free Consultation by submitting our online form, or by calling 1-800-543-9859.
