Tim Leckenby

Associate

“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” This quote by Benjamin Franklin resonates as inspiration to attorney Timothy Leckenby. Tim was just a boy when he realized that it was in his nature to want to help people. He had a desire to stand up for people who couldn’t defend themselves on their own. He soon realized that as an attorney he could advocate for those that have been treated unjustly and decided that would be his career path. He wanted to be a lawyer. Specifically, a trial lawyer fighting to help people through some of life’s most challenging times.

Through high school, the desire to advocate on behalf of people that needed legal counsel only got stronger. Tim went on to attend Arizona State University. He graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a focus on Political Thought & Leadership and International Studies.

In November of 2018, he was accepted into Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Law school provided Tim with opportunities to immerse himself in the actual experience of litigation. The Capital University General Litigation clinic setting was of particular interest and after receiving his legal interns license, he was able to represent clients under the supervision of an attorney. Tim also spent a summer during law school working as an extern/intern for a judge at the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

With a drive for academic success, Tim was a four-time Dean’s list recipient and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for scoring the highest grade in Health Law. Having an ardent interest in legal research, Tim spent his final two years of law school working for LexisNexis before graduating, cum laude, in May of 2022.

Upon graduating, and with his interest in working as a trial attorney, Tim set his sights on working at Robert Peirce & Associates. In September 2022, his hard work and dedication to the law paid off and Tim joined the firm as a full-time associate.

Tim works on personal injury, health care, nursing home abuse and neglect cases, as well as asbestos and mesothelioma. Pursuing justice in wrongful death and survival cases is an area that Tim has a particular passion. Working for Robert Peirce & Associates is particularly satisfying for him. The firm is one of the area’s leading law firms and is highly active and respected within the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. With his outstanding research skills and legal expertise, Tim is exactly where he wants to be and has become a valuable part of the Robert Peirce & Associates team.

“While I can’t change what has happened in the past, what I can do is advocate for justice to help improve the future for the people we serve”.
