As a little girl, Attorney Elan Pringle’s dream was to be a journalist and to work for a newspaper. Upon entering college, she recognized opportunities in journalism were declining and chose to study Public Relations at Duquesne University. Halfway through college, however, she found that she was lacking the passion for Public Relations that she had once had for journalism.
While contemplating her future, she decided to take a semester off and chose to work at Disney World during her junior year. Working and living in Orlando, FL enabled Elan to gain valuable experience and training in exceptional customer service, while having the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.
Elan returned to Pittsburgh and during her senior year she began working at a small law firm that handled residential and commercial real estate transactions. This was Elan’s first exposure to the legal field and ultimately led to her decision to go to law school. Elan graduated Cum Laude from Duquesne University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and began law school in August 2018.
During law school, Elan flourished. She became part of Duquesne Universities’ first Wills and Healthcare Directive Clinic where she drafted wills and other advanced directives for low-income individuals living in the city. During her second year of law school, she wanted to shift her focus to work on litigation, more particularly, nursing home neglect cases. In January 2020, Elan was hired as a law clerk for Robert Peirce & Associates, PC.
Elan was drawn to Robert Peirce & Associates, PC as she had experienced firsthand the effects of nursing home neglect. In 2015, her grandmother had been severely injured and tragically died due to a nursing home accident. Witnessing the pain and suffering endured by her father and their family, Elan was drawn to make a difference for families suffering from the tragic effects of nursing home neglect and wanted to become an advocate for those affected by these tragedies.
Elan graduated from Duquesne School of Law in May 2021. After passing the bar exam in October 2021, she was hired full time to be a part of the Robert Peirce & Associates, PC legal team.
Elan currently works on COVID-19 cases, nursing home, and medical malpractice. Meeting with clients and learning more about what they need and strategizing how to most effectively get justice for them ignites her passion every day.
Elan was born and raised in Butler County, Pennsylvania and now resides on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh with her border collie, Ollie. Her brother Landon lives down the street from her and adopted Ollie’s biological sister, Rue. In her spare time, Elan enjoys taking spinning classes, listening to true crime podcasts, and relishes in trying all the unique dining choices Pittsburgh has to offer.
“Being able to help families who have suffered abuse, neglect, or injury due to negligence and get the justice they deserve is by far the most rewarding part of my job.”
