Attorney Max Petrunya dedicates his practice to helping his clients and their families through difficult situations that may result in litigation. Max always begins the litigation process of by meeting with his clients and determining the best strategy to help resolve their issues. Recognizing the amount of time and energy associated with becoming involved in a legal matter, Max always strives to resolve any case he works on in the most efficient manner possible. Max utilizes his logical, critical thinking, and listening skills to connect with his clients and assist them through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Since 2014, Petrunya has been voted as a "Rising Star" in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers rankings - an honor awarded 2.5 percent of practicing attorneys in the state. In 2016, at the age of 31, he became the youngest member to be inducted into the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, an invitation-only group limited to 250 active members.
Born and raised in Stanton Heights, Max Petrunya is a 2010 graduate from Duquesne's School of Law. While in law school, Max was the recipient of the Katie Elisabeth Westbrook Award and the Shalom Moot Court award for excellence in trial advocacy. Max competed for Duquesne's mock trial teams and advanced to the national finals in AAJ's Mock Trial competition. Along with three of his classmates, Petrunya represented Duquesne in the AAJ national finals in 2010 in New Orleans. Max remains an active participant in trail advocacy to this day as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy. Max has the privilege of teaching law students trial tactics and skills, in addition to coaching Duquesne's National Mock Trial Competition Teams.
When Max is not working or teaching, he enjoys volunteering his time. Max has been a volunteer for Make-A Wish for over 8 years, assisting with everything from administrative work, fundraising, and wish fulfillment.
Additionally, Max serves on the Board of One Day to Remember, a charity designed to provide children of a parent with a life-threatening illness with a one day family outing to create memories that will last forever. One of Max's true passions in life is professional wrestling. In 2015, Max decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a professional wrestler and enrolled in professional wrestling school. Currently, Max performs for the International Wrestling Cartel (IWC), Ryse Wrestling, and KSWA Wrestling as "The Gavel" David Lawless, Esq.
Having the opportunity to live his dream and perform for fans throughout the Western Pennsylvania area is one of the most amazing experiences Max has ever had.
