Attorney Ryan Agostoni initially dreamed of working for the FBI, with the ultimate goal of helping others and making the world a better place. After researching the process to join the agency, he felt that earning a law degree would be the best route to get him to his goal. Ryan always liked to read and write, so a law degree seemed like a good fit. He attended California University of Pennsylvania as a Criminal Justice major. While the criminal justice system intrigued him, he discovered that rather than head to the FBI, he wanted to practice law.
While in college, Ryan took on an active leadership role in the peer mentoring program and as the Law and Justice Society Treasurer. In May 2017, he graduated magna cum laude from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business Administration receiving the Dean’s List Presidential Scholarship.
Ryan applied to the Duquesne University School of Law and was accepted in February of 2018.
Not sure of which area of law he wanted to practice, Ryan decided to work as a law clerk for a small business firm in Pittsburgh, garnering experience by working on civil litigation. During his second year of law school, he began working as a law clerk at Robert Peirce & Associates. Ryan enjoyed working side by side with the seasoned attorneys at the firm and had the opportunity to work on signing up new clients, drafting various legal documents, and sitting in on depositions. Ultimately, Ryan was drawn to the family-owned atmosphere of the firm and was impressed by how the attorneys guided their clients through complex legal issues. Thus, Ryan set his sights on joining the Robert Peirce & Associates legal team once he graduated.
His experience as a law clerk played a significant role in helping him learn the skills he would need to become a successful attorney. Ryan focused his electives in his last year of law school around areas that would be most beneficial to him. He competed in the mock trial competition team, trial advocacy and mediation competitions, and took classes designed to help him improve his negotiating skills.
In May 2021, Ryan graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law. Shortly after graduation, he was hired to be a full-time associate with the Robert Peirce & Associates team and passed the bar exam in October 2021.
Ryan works as an integral part of the team on nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, and personal injury cases, as well as asbestos and mesothelioma matters. As an attorney at Robert Peirce & Associates, Ryan is able to utilize his skills as a negotiator to effectively advocate on behalf of his clients, helping them achieve the justice they deserve.
Ryan grew up in New Eagle, Pennsylvania and now resides in Pittsburgh with his fiancée Jessica and his dog, Arya. He loves to read and write science fiction and fantasy literature.
“It is extremely rewarding to help people as they face some of the most significant events in their life. I am proud to be part of a team that provides dependable advocacy to help bring a good resolution to what they are going through.”
